Mental Health Ambassadors
What are Mental Health Ambassadors?
The Glenmore Trust strives to provide and maintain a healthy work environment that enables individuals within our organisation to address, develop, and refine their workplace so we can ensure we are adding to the person’s Mental, Physical, Emotional, Social, and Spiritual wellbeing.
We have noticed that while physical fitness is important, mental health is equally, if not more, important. This is why we have developed a core team of Mental Health Ambassadors to help our workers when they are going through difficult times and to provide a safe and friendly environment to share their problems and experiences.
The Glenmore Trust’s MHA’s have experience of a mental health problem, either personally or from a close relative or friend, have an open and non-judgemental attitude and are available to meet individuals on a one-to-one basis and is strictly confidential between the MHA and the person.
The Mental Health Ambassadors are a collective of employees who aim to:
- Provide peer-led mental health support for employees of The Glenmore Trust along with pastoral care under Health and Wellbeing.
- Establish a safe environment for employees to access.
- Establish rapport and trust with individual employees in a confidential and non-judgmental way. To make the service accessible to employees at all levels.
- Signpost employees to the independent counsellor for Glenmore Trust as necessary.
Who Are We?

Kelly Casey-Henderson
Hi, my name is Kelly.
I've worked for The Glenmore Trust for over 18years, in that time I have supported individuals with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, complex needs and challenging behaviors. This has given me the chance to realise positive mental health is an important factor in the society we live in today.
I have experienced many challenges in my personal life, and this has made me realise I want to help others who may be dealing with challenges in their own life. I feel I have empathy and life skills to help others.

Tia Ewin
Hi, my name is Tia.
I joined The Glenmore Trust in October 2024 as an Admin Assistant. I am also studying Psychology with Counselling at The Open University and have completed multiple short courses regarding mental health.
I have had a difficult past with mental health and feel that this, including the help I have received along the way, makes me who I am today. Having the opportunity to talk about your mind is so important to me, which is why I am always happy to listen and lend a hand when needed.

Lee Rose
Hi, I’m Lee.
I’ve worked for the Trust since 2015. I know how important the right support in the workplace can be and have helped me sustain my own employment.
My lived experience has taught me just how valuable it is to have someone who can listen to your current challenges without fear of judgement. It’s hard to put into exact words, but no one should ever feel they have no one to turn to when they need to talk.
