Rebecca - Support Worker

Hello, my name is Rebecca, I am a Support Worker & I have been working for the Glenmore Trust for just over 3 months, and what a delight it’s been!
I am so privileged to support the most amazing guys and work alongside the most supportive, loveliest team ever.
No two days are the same, and some days it doesn’t even feel like work!

Caring/support work is something that I have always wanted to do. I completed my Level 3 Health & Social Care at college, and then I went on to do my Learning Disability Nursing at university for a year and a half. This is something that I am very keen to go back to in the future. During the pandemic, I was a Healthcare Assistant at the Cumberland Infirmary in the battle against COVID, but then I came across the Glenmore Trust and it’s the best decision I’ve made, working alongside individuals with learning disabilities is my passion.

A little bit about me… I am 20 years old and during my free time I love ticking off Wainwrights with my fox red Labrador, Bailey.

I enjoy keeping fit, whether that be walking, hiking or at the gym! Spending time with my family and friends is so important to me, and I couldn’t be without them! I am also a member of Eden Valley Young Farmers, we take part in lots of competitions and it’s really helped me grow in confidence and make friends for life!!
The past 3 months have been an absolute pleasure and it’s been made so much easier working alongside the most welcoming, friendly team! I can’t wait to see where the next few years take me.
